Para jogar relampago não precisa ser um virtuoso, é uma questão de prática e gerenciamento do mouse! Evidente que sempre teremos os mais experientes. No caso em tela, o jogador, meu oponente por ser bem mais fraco, respondi o primeiro lance após ter consumido metade do meu tempo, ou seja, tinha apenas 1'18s para o restante da partida. A partida terminou com um belo mate que merece ser vista. Para maximizar a tela, apenas clicar com o mouse em cima da tela.

kasparov diz que as pessoas ligadas ao xadrez não escutarão dele sobre a possível volta ao xadrez profissional. No momento seu trabalho está dedicado ao treinamento de Magnus, e acrescenta, “não se pode fazer as duas coisas”. Momento seguinte, diz estar feliz ter jogado com karpov, entretanto karpov não é o mesmo, alternando raros bons movimentos, mas longe de ser o mesmo no xadrez.

Diz ainda, que a qualidade do xadrez depende do oponente, assim ele faz uma autocrítica sobre o seu desempenho, não obstante ter ganho com larga margem. kasparov vê com ceticismo o futuro do xadrez!

Karpov e Kasparov comungam da mesma idéia, ou seja, como podem atrair tantos fãs após 25 anos do primeiro embate entre eles. Algo está errado acrescentou.

Questionado por Fontaine por que Anand, Kramnik ou Topalov não tem a mesma popularidade, ponderou kasparov na abertura da conferência em Valencia, que para ele isso é um alerta importantíssimo, aos organizadores a FIDE e para os próprios admiradores. Algo está errado!

Ao final, acrescenta:

"Anyway, we are still here and we are creating the biggest show in the world of chess. I think it is wrong. I can only hope that things will somehow change. I don’t know how, because looking at the game of chess which is now being played in Elista, Nalchik, Sochi, Khanty-Mansiysk, sometimes Baku and Yerevan, it brings chess to obscurity. For twenty-five years since our first match chess was sliding towards obscurity, and now it is a game that is out of the mainstream. If the top leading players are happy with that there is nothing you can do about it. But I think chess deserves better. We tried to prove it during this match – whether we did it or not is hard to say."

Bom, desnecessário dizer sobre o xadrez no Brasil. O que temos aqui? Uma triste lembrança dos bons tempos de Mecking, e o que mais? ZERO! Nosso xadrez é de terceira. Não temos ninguém em que poderíamos apostar! Quem viu as partidas de Mecking contra Fier, talvez tenha levado um susto pois na plateia tinhamos ao redor de 10 espectadores! Triste, mas é a realidade!

Ainda, sobre o xadrez na internet, não entendo por que os brasileiros se escondem no playchess! Nigel Short dá a cara pra bater, joga com próprio nome, partidas de 3 minutos, Nigel é apenas um exemplo dentre outros. No entanto, brasileiros se escondem no playchess, não declinando o nome, ou seja, não querem ser reconhecidos.

kasparov foi o primeiro a valorizar o conceito das máquinas. Por ética deixo de revelar nomes de "mestres" aqui no Brasil que sempre enxergaram com desprezo a capacidade das máquinas. Estes seguramente, estão mortos para o xadrez!
