Connect to Saitek boards with OSA-Link
You can select [saitek] menu to connet Gavon to a Leonardo, Galileo o Renaissance board using the OSA-Link cable.
Follow the next procedure to connect Gavon to your Saitek's board:
1. Connect the OSA-Link cable from the Saitek board to the mini-computer USB port;
2. Be sure the settings of the board are speed 1200 baud
3. Press 'function' and 'king' buttons on the Saitek board. Check if the 'COM' led is iluminated.
4. Go to the [saitek] menu and setect 'osa-link?' to yes.
5. If you want to play against Gavon, press 'analysis' button on the Renaissence board to desactivate the Renaissence or the module.
6. If you want Gavon plays against Saitek's board or Saitek's module, press 'normal' button on the board.
If your Saitek board are not sending the moves to Gavon, you should check the OSA-Link connection:
1. Connect the OSA-Link cable from the Renaissence board to a USB port of your Windows PC;
2. Press 'function' and 'king' buttons on the Renaissence board. Check if the 'COM' led is
iluminated.
3. Be sure the settings of the board are speed 1200 baud
4. Open a hyperterminal program in you Windows PC and configure the same settings that you are using on the board.
5. Play some moves on the Renaissence board and check if the moves are displayed by the hyperterminal.
6. If the moves are displayed by the hyperterminal, disconnect the cable from the PC and connect again to Gavon. Follow the previous steps to connect Gavon to the board.
